About the role

Rugby is one of the fastest growing towns in the country and the fastest in the West Midlands with a range of high-quality housing and commercial developments on the go.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to help the council play its part in the delivery of high-quality developments within the town and borough.

In this role you will manage and deliver high quality housing projects and a small number of commercial or corporate property projects. You’ll be helping to deliver seventy affordable homes on a brownfield site near the town centre and another seventy quality affordable homes on a variety of smaller brownfield sites. The sites are owned by the council, funding is in place, and they are ready for development.

You will motivate the project team, drive project performance, take responsibility for the coordination of internal and external stakeholders, appoint and manage external contractors/ consultants and report on progress throughout the project.

You will have the support of an excellent driven and well-motivated team around you to help achieve these objectives

About you

You will be able to demonstrate you ensure quality, cost, and time objectives are met on your projects and that you have an excellent understanding and wide experience of project procedures and governance within the public sector in construction and property projects and specifically in the delivery of affordable homes.

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of large and complex construction projects and have a professional qualification as a chartered surveyor or equivalent.
