We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Private Sector Housing Project Officer to drive service-wide improvements and strengthen the delivery of Private Sector Housing operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead on project management, service development, data-driven decision‑making, and the implementation of effective systems and processes across the service.
You will work collaboratively with senior leaders, operational teams, and external partners to deliver high‑quality outcomes that support the Council’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities include leading multiple projects and programmes, managing procurement activity, enhancing customer engagement, and supporting performance management and governance frameworks.
This role also involves supervising apprentices and supporting wider teams, making it ideal for someone with strong leadership, housing sector experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in private sector housing and local authority environments
- Strong project management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to analyse data, improve systems, and influence service change
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and financial tracking

Salary range
