    What is the job role?

    Senior Practitioner - Children in Care and Adoption Service.

    12 months Maternity cover

    We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to cover maternity leave, 37 hours per week. You must be highly skilled and able take responsibility for the most complex, or high-risk work with children and families, doing so with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy. The role also includes supporting the team manager, team members through mentoring, coaching and advancing the expertise and professional competence and confidence of others.

    This is an exciting role where you can utilise your skills within a supportive team.

    Have you got good Care Planning /future planning and court experience ? and work in a restorative way to empower and support the children and families you work with? If so we would love to hear from you.

    You will also be expected to perform the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the attached job description and person specification.


    The service will welcome a candidate committed to improving the lives of children and young people and who can demonstrate behaviours that positively contribute to service development.

    This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
