Senior Practitioner

Senior Practitioner - Children in Care team. 12 months Maternity cover

We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to cover maternity leave, 37 hours per week. You must be highly skilled and able take responsibility for the most complex, or high-risk work with children and families, doing so with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy. The role also includes supporting the team manager, team members through mentoring, coaching and advancing the expertise and professional competence and confidence of others.

As a Senior Practitioner the role will also include you to undertake a range of assessments, with the aim to support and empower the families you are working.

Care Planning /future planning and court experience is an essential aspect to this role incorporating .evidence based practice and needs led outcomes.

You will also be expected to perform the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the attached job description and person specification.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
