
Senior Practitioner
We are recruiting 5 Senior Practitioners at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £42,839 - £46,142 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This post attracts a Market Supplement of £3,551 per annum, in addition to the annual salary, which will be paid in 12 monthly instalments.
We are seeking to appoint dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic practitioners to become part of our progressive and creative team.
The successful candidate will hold a more complex caseload, be able to offer support, mentoring and supervision to team members, monitor team performance, assist the Team Manager, and deputise when required.
The team undertakes high quality assessments and planning for children and their families who require ongoing social services intervention. The team covers both short- and long-term work, including Children in Need of Care and Support, Safeguarding, Children Looked After and court work.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification.
- Up to date knowledge of current legislation and statutory regulations, research and practice in relation to the relevant service area.
- Post qualification experience in social work - fieldwork.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.

You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or able to transfer from another recognised body).
The current registration requirements state that completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016). Failure to successfully complete this qualification will result in you being unable to renew your Social Work Registration or practice as a Social Worker.
