SENIOR PLANNING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Salary: Grade G - £39,152 to £42,839 per year (pro rata for part-time) (pay award pending)
Hours: Up to 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Team Location: Long Eaton Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, NG10 1HU
Hybrid working is available.
About the Role
Be the senior professional for planning enforcement in Erewash. Take the lead on issuing enforcement notices, seeking to uphold notices on appeal, and providing evidence of breach of notices in court. Provide guidance and advice to the Planning Enforcement Officer and the Enforcement Assistant.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A local government professional, committed to high standards of integrity and probity.
- A planning practitioner, with experience of making planning judgements and defending them at appeal.
You will need to have detailed knowledge of current planning legislation, hold a Diploma or Degree in Town Planning (or relevant equivalent) and preferably be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
