    Senior Planner Policy

    PO3: Starting salary £47,925 pa rising in annual increments to £51,228 per annum incl LW. This post attracts a market supplement of 8.5% of the salary.

    About the Team:

    The Planning Policy team sits within the Growth and Environment division, and, through the development of positive, innovative planning policy and guidance, plays in an instrumental role in delivering the priorities and ambitions of the Borough Plan. It is an exciting time to join the team as we embark on the preparation of a new Local Plan - you will support this work by taking a lead on the formulation of the council’s planning policies as well as supporting workstreams relating to neighbourhood planning, gypsies and travellers, monitoring and waste.

    About the Role:

    We seek a motivated individual with experience of plan making. Passionate about planning and its positive impacts on housing, employment and the local environment, you will collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders, and contribute to policy development, consultations, and responses to regional and national changes.

    We operate on a hybrid work model, providing employees greater flexibility and opportunity to work from home. Office working would be a minimum of 2 days per week at our modern offices in the heart of the Brixton Town Centre, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the Underground and Overground train stations.
