About the role
Would you like to join a local authority where you can progress your legal career and be supported to excel professionally? If so, join the Legal Team at West Northants Council, one of the newest and the fourth biggest Unitary Council in England.
You will ideally have at least two years’ post qualification experience in the relevant areas of local government law, prosecutions, regulatory and general litigation and be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister.
If you are proactive, organised and want to work in a fast-paced environment then you may be the person that we are looking for.

You will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister.
- Advocate for the Council in Court,
- Be able to hold a full caseload of criminal litigation cases.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Be able to work to tight timelines and under pressure.
