What’s the role?

The role involves managing a team of Health and Wellbeing Workers each holding a caseload of one-to-one support, group work and delivering activities that empower young people to make informed decisions on their life and specifically around emotional and mental health and wellbeing.

You'll work closely with health practitioners and community partners to facilitate holistic, youth centre support through the GP Youth Clinics.

Using frameworks such as Young-Thrive and Outcome Star, you'll measure impact and help shape services that truly meet young people's needs.

What we’re looking for

The Senior Health and Wellbeing Worker plays a key role in facilitating and leading the support of young people to lead happier, healthier lives.

You'll be someone who understands the needs of children and young people, knows how to lead teams well and can facilitate real change for young people's mental and emotional wellbeing.

Working as part of a dynamic, multi-agency team, you'll support your team to connect young people with the right support and opportunities.

Your work will focus on promoting mental, physical and emotional wellbeing through creative, youth-led approaches.

This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a lasting difference in their community.

Location

The job is based in Youth Sites across the borough, with our head office based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions

  • Relevant professional qualification in Youth Work e.g. Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work or relevant experience
  • Regular evening work and occasional weekend working may be required for this job
  • The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary

£42,912 - £44,235 per annum

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
