    We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and excellent team working individual to join the Electoral Services team. You will need a proven track record of a high level of administration experience and be willing to work towards obtaining the AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration. You must be able to work flexibly, as during election periods you will be expected to work additional hours including evenings and weekends.

    About you

    You will be a confident proactive individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to demonstrate:

    - The ability to deliver high quality work within strict deadlines.
    - Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    - Good knowledge and understanding of Electoral Services processes.
    - Ability to be able to respond to pressure at peak times

    As an electoral administrator, you will provide highly competent administrative support to the service covering all aspects of its work including:

    - Maintaining the register of electors;
    - Absent votes list and monthly alterations lists;
    - Delivering training;
    - Organising and supporting data mining activity;
    - Meeting all statutory deadlines of the election timetable

    You will also be involved in other aspects of our work including some outreach work to encourage elector registration and participation.

    In addition to the salary above there are likely to be additional fee payments at election time.
