We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Join Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Building Consultancy team as a Senior Design Technician and help shape improvement and new build projects across the Council’s estate.
You will lead and support projects from brief development through design, tender and construction, producing high quality drawings and specifications, coordinating consultants and helping deliver schemes on budget and to programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional with strong design, contract administration and stakeholder skills who wants to contribute to practical, well-designed public sector projects that make a visible difference to local communities.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 4 or 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW). For example, HNC or HND in architectural design, design technology, building surveying.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.
- Extensive design experience covering a range of building types.
- Extensive contract management experience.
