Are you an experienced and motivated administrator looking to make a real difference for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are seeking a part time highly organised Senior Business Support Officer to join our dedicated SEND Team within Children’s Services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting vital statutory processes and ensuring high-quality services for children, young people, and families.
About the Role
As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will work with a high degree of autonomy, supporting the delivery of essential business and administrative functions across the SEND service. You will also support colleagues, helping to ensure an efficient, responsive, and high-quality service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating day-to-day administrative processes across the SEND Team
- Managing complex diaries, meetings, and communications for senior managers
- Supporting statutory SEND processes, including data returns and reporting
- Handling enquiries from families, professionals, and partner agencies
- Producing accurate data, reports, and performance information
- Contributing to service planning and continuous improvement
You will play a vital role in ensuring that the service runs smoothly and that children and families receive timely and effective support.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative experience, ideally within a public sector or SEND/social care environment
- Is highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident working with data systems and producing reports
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and safeguarding
A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or equivalent experience is desirable.
