
Senior Business Intelligence & Insight Analyst – Population Health Management
The Public Health team is part of the Public Health, Insight and Migration Division.
Reporting to the Director of Public Health and Wellbeing, the team helps people to stay healthy and protect them from threats to their health.

Secondment/Fixed Term Contract – 22 months. December 2025 – September 2027.

You will be required to undertake a Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist Apprenticeship.
We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence & Insight Analyst to join our Public Health Population Health Management team. The post will be hosted by the City Council’s Public Health Team but will work across health and care partner organisations across the city, embedding a Population Health Management approach to transformation programmes, including the National Neighbourhood Health Programme.
This post is funded by the Office of Health Inequalities and Disparities. You will undertake a Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist Apprenticeship as a condition of the funding. The apprenticeship will commence in December 2025, and you must be available to start in this post from 1st December 2025.
This role will:
- Provide high-quality information, intelligence and analysis to support a range of services and partners to inform evidence-based policy and decision making, understanding local need and developing services to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
- Lead the provision of data, insight and analysis to inform and support the forming of organisational and partner policy, strategy and transformation.
- Provide a professional, creative, solution-oriented and responsive service and contribute to the development of a data culture across the Council and NHS.

Who are we looking for?We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence and Insight Analyst that is ready to make an immediate, positive impact on Population Health Management approaches across Coventry’s health and care services.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of Health & Care services and related reporting systems and performance frameworks
- Research, data analysis, and ICT skills, including the ability to extract, interpret, and present complex data clearly
- Ability to use BI tools such as Power BI
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Experience in a similar analytical or performance reporting role (local authority or NHS experience is preferable)
- A relevant degree or significant vocational experience in a data, research, or analytical field, demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding relevant roles.

Salary range
- £39,152 - £46,142 per year
