The Role:
Are you an experienced, confident Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) ready for a senior practice role that focuses on leadership, expert decision-making, and mentoring colleagues?

The Role: Expert Practice & Oversight
We are seeking a Senior AMHP to provide leadership, expert practice support, and oversight from the AMHP Desk. You will work closely with the AMHP Team Manager to drive quality and confidence within the service.
Your key contributions will be to:
- Act as a senior decision-maker in complex or high-risk situations, ensuring safe, proportionate, and legally literate outcomes.
 - Provide day-to-day guidance and support to AMHP colleagues carrying out Mental Health Act assessments.
 - Contribute to the allocation and coordination of referrals through the AMHP Desk.
 - Deliver reflective supervision and mentoring to build resilience and professional confidence in AMHPs.
 - Monitor adherence to statutory responsibilities and contribute to quality assurance, audit, and continuous service improvement.
 
About You: Essential Criteria
We are looking for an experienced AMHP ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities.
You must possess:
A recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England. Current approval as an AMHP with substantial post-qualification experience. Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Act.
Experience of working in complex, high-pressure situations and making proportionate decisions.
A commitment to trauma-informed, anti-racist, and strengths-based practice.
