The Post
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Analyst and Developer to join our Adult Social Care (ASC) team. In this pivotal role, you will lead on delivering high-quality data analysis, performance reporting, and statutory returns that directly inform decision-making, service improvement, and strategic planning across the department.
You will use your expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Power Apps to design innovative data solutions, improve reporting processes, and provide insightful analysis that supports better outcomes for our residents. You'll also play a key role in ensuring data quality and compliance, working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and build a culture of data-informed service delivery.
You will:
- Lead the completion and submission of statutory returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Design, build and maintain engaging performance dashboards using Power BI and Business Objects
- Use advanced SQL to manage, query and analyse data from complex systems
- Develop low-code tools and digital solutions using Power Apps to streamline processes and reporting
- Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, and work with services to resolve issues effectively
- Support performance improvement projects, deep-dive reviews, and benchmarking exercises
- Promote self-service access to data by supporting managers in understanding and using performance information
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to ensure that business intelligence supports both operational and strategic objectives
The Person
We are looking for someone with:
- Expert-level SQL skills and a strong understanding of relational databases
- Proven experience in Power BI and Power Apps, with the ability to build user-friendly tools and dashboards
- Experience in submitting and managing statutory performance returns, ideally within Adult Social Care or a related service
- A good level of experience of working in public services for this role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- The ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences clearly and effectively
- A collaborative and proactive approach to improving services through data

Salary range
- £50,574 - £53,607 per year
