Job Title: SEND Inclusion & Quality Officer
Salary: £33,531 - £38,052 per annum
Grade: D
Contract Type: Fixed Term or Internal Secondment (9 months)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
About the Department
The SEND Service leads the local area’s statutory and improvement work for children and young people (0–25) with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The SEND Inclusion and Quality Officer plays a key role within Children’s Services in ensuring high‑quality, inclusive practice across the SEND system. Your role will include strengthening, participation, improving processes, and driving quality across SEND provision.About the Role
You will champion the voice of children and young people with SEND by developing engagement models and ensuring their views influence service development and practice. You will support inclusion and engagement activity across services and ensure information shared through the SEND Local Offer is accessible, accurate and up to date. You will contribute to quality assurance processes, including supporting audits, reviewing EHCP quality, and promoting consistent, high standards across the SEND Service. You will also contribute to training, communication, and engagement work, often leading on elements of the SEND Communication & Engagement Strategy.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference to improve outcomes for our children and young people with SEND.
