About the role
We are looking for a School Place Planning Assistant to provide essential administrative and organisational support to the Place Planning & Admissions team. This role plays a key part in supporting statutory school place planning, helping to ensure processes run smoothly, records are accurate, and enquiries are managed efficiently.
Working closely with Place Planning Team, you’ll help free up professional capacity so the team can focus on forecasting demand and securing sufficient education provision across the area.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail‑focused and enjoys supporting a busy, data‑led service.
Additional information
You’ll be a proactive and organised individual with a strong eye for detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
You’ll bring:
- Experience working in an administrative or support role
- Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills
- Confident using Office 365 (or willingness to undertake training)
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
- Experience maintaining spreadsheets, trackers or databases
- Experience supporting finance‑related processes
