We are looking for a dedicated and capable individual to join our team and support the smooth and efficient running of the school’s financial and business operations. Reporting to the Business and Admin Manager, the post holder will assist with the day-to-day management of the school’s finances and provide information to support strategic decisions around expenditure and staffing.

The successful candidate will have experience of school financial processes and will ensure that the leadership team has accurate and timely information on income, staffing costs, and expenditure. This will include testing business scenarios provided to you, and modelling the potential impact of changes to staffing levels, pupil numbers, and spending to inform decision-making.

In addition to financial responsibilities, the post holder will support a range of personnel administration tasks. These include maintaining accurate and confidential personnel records in line with GDPR and safer recruitment guidance; preparing and issuing staff contracts, contract amendments, and variation letters; and ensuring payroll and staffing information is accurate and up to date. The role will also involve coordinating recruitment processes — advertising vacancies, collating interview materials, and carrying out pre-employment checks including the DBS certificate processing — as well as liaising with the external Payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow. The roll will be the primary contact point for payroll queries.

The roll is supported by a Finance Clerk who will carry out day-to-day financial operations, including procurement, invoice processing and payments.

The Mosslands School is excited to announce that building work begins shortly on a complete new-build - Completion end 2027.
