Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people aged 15-18? Do you have the skills to inspire, motivate and guide those at risk of not participating in education, employment or training?
We are looking for a dynamic and committed RONI (Risk of NEET Indicator) Adviser to join our Targeted Information, Advice and Guidance (TIAG) Service. This is a new and exciting role, funded through the Great Childhoods Ambition programme, to not only support young people who are at risk of disengaging from learning and progression but also to test and shape new approaches and processes.
About the Role
As a RONI Adviser, you will:
- Deliver personalised advice and guidance interventions including 1:1 support, group work and project-based activities.
- Work with schools and our partners to identify those young people in Year 11 at risk of not making a positive post-16 transition into education, employment and training
- Proactively manage a caseload of vulnerable young people, including those with special educational needs, care experience, or involved in youth offending.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, learning providers and other professionals to develop and implement effective action plans.
- Shape and test approaches for identification, engagement and support into education, employment and training
- Promote participation in learning and progression into education, employment or training.
What We’re Looking For
You will have:
- A relevant Level 6 qualification in careers guidance
- 5+ years experience working with vulnerable young people and delivering targeted interventions.
- Strong communication, team work and organisational skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate young people.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and current issues affecting young people, particularly those who are NEET.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development.
