The Opportunity
We are looking for a volunteer to deliver Rhymetimes in Derby’s libraries.

What you’ll be doing
You will create a welcoming, supportive and safe Rhymetime environment and carry out a variety of tasks including setting up the space, welcoming parents, carers and children to the session, selecting and singing rhymes, interacting with the group, and ensuring that all attendees are members of the library and are borrowing books.


About you
We need someone with an understanding of the benefits of Rhymetimes for children and their parents/carers, who enjoys working with children and families, has the confidence to sing and interact with them, has a warm and welcoming personality and can help to develop the sessions to increase attendance, book issues and library use.

Who can apply
Anyone aged 14 or over can apply. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian will need to agree that you can volunteer with us.
