Due to the success of the inspections team in generating additional income for South Hams and West Devon, we are looking to recruit an additional Revenues Inspections Officer.
The postholder will carry out inspections of domestic and commercial properties to ensure our Council Tax and Business Rates records are accurate, income is maximised and discounts, reliefs and exemptions are awarded in accordance with legislation and Council policy.
You will be monitoring new build properties, issuing completion notices and making requests to the Valuation Office Agency for properties to be brought into the Valuation and Rating Lists.
A committed team player who can work on their own initiative, you will also demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail and have excellent customer care skills.
Experience of using NEC and Information at Work software is desirable, however if you have experience of other software we will provide you with full training and support.
Please note the successful candidate will require a satisfactory basic DBS check.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is also required.
