
Research and Data Analyst
Permanent – Part time (18 hrs)
Location: Lynton House
Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and great at building relationships? We’re looking for a Research and Data Analyst to join our Research and Data Team, supporting schools with statutory returns, assessments, and general data guidance.
This role involves collecting school information, ensuring data quality, preparing attainment data, and producing reports for schools. You’ll need excellent communication skills - both on the phone and via email - and the ability to work patiently and professionally with schools.
What you’ll do
- Provide clear guidance and support to schools and other stakeholders.
- Collect, collate, and submit statistical information and returns required by Government departments and external agencies.
- Assist with statutory and other government-required analyses in consultation with the School Organisation and Place Planning Manager.
- Produce high-quality management information to support Children’s Services
- Interpret and present management information and data as directed.
- Support the analysis and management of pupil, school, and performance data.
What we’re looking for
- Strong communication skills and confidence in handling phone and email queries.
- Patience and professionalism when working with schools and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of school data collections and experience submitting accurate data to the Department for Education (DfE).
- Proactive, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Teams).
- Ability to manipulate raw data and apply basic statistical techniques.
Familiarity with SIMS/Integris, Power BI, and SQL would be an advantage.

Salary range
- £42,060 - £43,680 per year
