We have an exciting opportunity for two Apprentice roles within the Rehousing Team, assisting homeless households into temporary accommodation and assessing applications for social housing. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn. You will be given on the job training, along with your Apprenticeship course and additional training specific to the service area. The role will involve dealing with customers and partners on a regular basis to assist customers with their housing circumstances. You will need to be well organised with excellent communication and IT skills and a positive attitude.

The post is varied and will involve dealing with customers over the telephone to assist with rent, temporary accommodation or social housing queries.

You do not require previous experience in housing as you will be provided with the required training. You will however need to have excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with customers. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Rehousing Apprentice to join the Rehousing team within the Housing Service. This is a great chance to gain the Business Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 whilst working for the Rehousing team that provide the following support/service

The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves approximately 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.

Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
