Lead an Exceptional Children’s Residential Service in Southwark!

Southwark Council is proud to introduce Olive House, a state-of-the-art £2.5 million children’s home designed to reduce the need for placements outside the borough.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Manager to lead our residential service, supporting children aged 10–16. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference, shaping the care and experiences of young people in the community.

About the Role:

As our Registered Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the design, development and operational management of Olive House.
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding emotional and physical care, engaging activities and comfortable accommodation.
  • Working in partnership with clinical psychologists and national experts and key stakeholders to champion innovation and best practice.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to transformational care.
  • Shape the future of children’s residential services in Southwark.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading or managing a children’s residential service.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, planning and team-building skills.
  • Is committed to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for our children.
  • Thrives on shaping services, driving innovation and making a real difference.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised by the Council)
  • At least 2 years in a relevant children’s residential care role within the last 5 years
