About ADASS South West

ADASS South West is an association of Directors of Adult Social Care services in the south west region comprising of 15 local authorities who have committed to collaborate and work together in relation to the provision of adult social care.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Social Care Principal Business Intelligence Analyst to provide high-quality regional insights, modelling, and data intelligence that enable Directors of Adult Social Services to understand demand, performance, risk, and future pressures across the South West.

In this role, you will work with Client Level Data (CLD) at a regional level, under the direction of ADASS South West to provide, develop and manage regional dashboards. As this post is hosted by North Somerset Council you will also have supervision and support from Business Intelligence which is part of the Finance and Data Insights Service of the Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior leaders across the Councils of the South West to understand variation between local authorities in policy and flow across demand and activity in Adult Social Care
  • Represent ADASS South West on national and regional forums
  • Visualise data in Power BI, creating and maintaining dashboards
  • Collaborate with data leads across the region to collate data sets related to CLD and Adult Social Care and establish networks with other regions
  • Contribute towards statutory data collections and surveys for Adult Social Care
  • Contribute towards developing data analytics to project future demand.
  • Develop ways to improve data accuracy working with partners and stakeholder to support evidence based strategic planning, improvement activity and decision making at regional level

Work Style

This role falls into the category of Mobile/Field Worker which means you can expect to work in the following way:

  • 0-1 day in the office
  • Includes field workers who primarily work remotely.
  • Comes into the office for meetings or focused work. Virtual connections with the team are essential, with portable technology supporting work on the go.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data analysis specifically in the field of Adult Social Care and who possesses the following skills and experience:

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Demonstrable experience of using Power BI to create dashboards
  • Advanced knowledge of Adult Social Care with detailed experience of working with “Adult Social Care Client Level Data (CLD)”

Desirable Criteria:

  • Recognised qualification in Power BI
  • Experience with other data visualization software such as Tableau
