Are you looking for a new challenge, the opportunity to work with an innovative and ambitious council and to genuinely make a difference in our communities?

We are now recruiting for a Regeneration Capital Project Manager to lead a number of our key regeneration and strategic projects – projects designed to deliver lasting change in communities.

With an immediate focus on sports led regeneration and infrastructure; the delivery of five new 3G pitches across the district in partnership with the Football Foundation and FA, and ambitious proposals for Sherwood, this role will work closely with colleagues across the Council and a wide range of external stakeholders to deliver our objectives.

With budgets in place and political, resident and stakeholder backing, these projects are ready to mobilise and require a strong and experienced project manager to now see them through.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering major, multi-million-pound projects. They will be self-motivated, a confident communicator, a problem solver, a collaborator and someone who embraces our culture and values… someone who wants to deliver the best we can for our residents.

We offer a competitive salary, enrolment in a career average local government pension scheme, a generous annual leave entitlement that increases with service, free car parking to June 2026, a whole host of family-friendly benefits, flexi-time, 1 days’ paid volunteering leave, a health cashback plan, access to an employee benefits platform, and £10/month membership at one of our four gyms in the district.

Responsibilities:

- Project manage strategic regeneration projects, including team governance, risk management, budget management, and stakeholder management.

- Undertake or commission a range of place-based regeneration projects.

- Implement sound project management principles from concept to onsite delivery.

- Capitalise on funding and investment opportunities, including public sector funding applications.

- Ensure effective management of designated budgets and compliance with financial regulations.

- Manage the production of development and regeneration viability/market appraisals.

- Facilitate consultation and engagement plans for internal, external, and resident partnerships.

- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to deliver projects.
