    The role:

    • We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Referral and Advice Officer to work within the Children’s Advice and Support Service (CASS)
    • The successful candidate will work directly alongside children’s social workers and other MASH partners to support the safeguarding of children and young people. You will have strong skills in data handling and accurate data inputting
    • You will need strong communication skills and experience and confidence with computer systems such as Outlook, MS Teams and telephone platforms, to be able to handle all new referrals and requests efficiently. You will be confident communicating with a wide range of professionals, partner agencies, parents and carers, offering clear advice, information and signposting to relevant services
    • If you have the necessary skills, knowledge and previous relevant experience in supporting in safeguarding the children and young people of Liverpool then this is an exciting opportunity for you
    • The Referral and Advice Officer role is very varied, with lots to continually learn. This is a challenging role and successful candidates will receive relevant training and support throughout their career
    • You will take full ownership of professional contacts and customer requests through to resolution by generating a contact or signposting to the appropriate service, in compliance with Children’s Safeguarding legislation and procedures
    • You will record accurate, detailed and high‑quality information using Children’s Social Care databases and other electronic systems
    • You will be willing to evolve and adapt in line with business demand and customer trends using transferable skills to adapt methods of contact and drive improvement
