Job Introduction


An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Halesowen Leisure Centre.

We are looking to recruit a part-time Recreation Assistant to work each week . A 3 week rotating shift pattern will be required which will include evenings, daytime hours and weekends.

Hours: 29 hours per week (on a 3 week rotating shift pattern, detailed below)

Salary: Grade 3 (Scale pay range £25,185 - £25,583 pro-rata)

The successful candidate can expect to be responsible for supervising the swimming pools and supporting members of the public while on Lifeguard duty.

In addition, you will be involved in the setting up and derigging of leisure equipment and help maintain a high level of cleanliness within the centre by undertaking regular cleaning duties and maintenance schedules.

We encourage applicants who have recently qualified in their National Pool Lifeguard to apply and also applicants who are working towards their National Pool Lifeguard.

You will be expected to attend and undertake regular staff training sessions on a monthly basis.

You will be required to promote quality customer service and maintain a friendly atmosphere at the centre.
