About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our Create Building reception team on a full time basis, as we continue to welcome new tenants into our busy state-of-the-art office building in Crawley town centre.

The office space is currently occupied by Crawley Borough Council and three commercial tenants (British Airways, Chubb and Siemens) who occupy several upper floors and we are looking forward to welcoming more tenants into the building in the very near future.

You will provide an efficient, friendly and welcoming service that helps to promote and support Crawley Borough Council employees and the variety of tenants on our upper floors.

As the first point of contact for The Create Building, you will deal with enquires and complaints, the taking in of deliveries and all general reception duties including administrative duties, access control, booking committee rooms and controlling the building access for contractors and visitors.

You will have proven previous experience in a busy high end reception role with exceptional customer service skills. Good oral, listening and written skills are essential for the role alongside a proven knowledge of health and safety at work. Problem solving, decision making, and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages or equivalent are essential.

You will be first aid trained or willing and able to undertake and pass the qualification within the first six months in the role. You will become an Evacuation Control Officer where you will co-ordinate and assist with the safe evacuation of personnel within the building in case of emergency, and liaise with emergency services where required.

Working hours will be 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm. We are looking for someone who can be flexible to assist with additional cover should the business needs require and to cover holiday and sickness absence.

We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
