    The Care Market Assurance and Improvement (CMAI) service is responsible for quality assurance, provider improvement and market development. This involves undertaking a variety of duties to help provide assurance that services are safe and meet the assessed needs of clients. The team actively supports providers to develop improvement plans for underperforming services, workforce development, training and other events.

    The Care Market Assurance and Improvement service takes a lead role in Provider Failure. It also manages and maintains information systems, tracking the quality of the adult care market The Quality Intelligence Support Officer role is part of the Council’s Quality Assurance Team. This team works with adult social care providers to help ensure people receive safe, effective, and high-quality care.

    This is a hybrid working role including work from home and Council offices. The role works in the Council's core hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

    Main Responsibilities

    You will focus on the quality intelligence side of the team, where you will work with care providers, people who use services and partner organisations to gather and coordinate important feedback and intelligence.

    Using this information, you'll help identify themes, support investigations where needed, share learning, and contribute to improvements that make a real difference to the quality of care people receive.

    Quality assurance and improvement: Coordinate feedback processes, work with care providers to address concerns, monitor progress, and help improve systems and ways of working.

    Intelligence and risk: Gather, maintain and analyse information from different sources to identify themes, risks and learning, support decisions, and direct concerns to the right team or agency.

    Enquiries and safeguarding: Act as a first point of contact for providers, colleagues and partners, offering clear support and responding to urgent or serious concerns.

    Engagement and partnership working: Listen to people who use services, families and carers, build positive relationships with providers and partners, and share advice, learning and good practice to support better care.

    You'll help ensure that people's voices are heard, concerns are acted upon, and learning is used to improve the quality of care across Staffordshire.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are seeking a customer service and solution focussed officer, with a passion for improving the care market.

    For the purposes of shortlisting the minimum requirements for the role are:

    • Effective customer service and communication skills.
    • Experience of using Excel and databases, with significant attention
    • to detail.
    • Experience of identifying and reporting risks.
    • Able to maintain high levels of accuracy with significant attention to detail.
    • Ability to audit or analyse information from a variety of sources and identify trends and themes.
    • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and able to manage own workload.
