    As a Public Health Support Worker, you will work within the Barnsley 0-19 Public Health Nursing service, alongside Health Visiting and School Nursing Teams. You will help coordinate, organise, and implement local, regional, and national public health initiatives, including playing a key role in delivering the National Childhood Measurement Programme (NCMP).

    About You

    To succeed in this role, you will need an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health, Social Care, or Child Health, and experience working within the caring profession. You should understand the needs of children and young people, enabling you to plan and evaluate public health initiatives and programmes. You must be caring, committed to supporting children, young people, and families to explore their options and make informed, positive lifestyle decisions. Enthusiasm, motivation, teamwork, resilience, and the ability to work under indirect supervision are essential, as are strong planning and prioritisation skills and the ability to travel to a range of venues and settings.
