We are looking for an ambitious, innovative and self-motivated Public Health Advanced Practitioner in Health Intelligence to join our Public Health Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

About you...
As the Public Health Advanced Practitioner in Health Intelligence, you will play a significant role in leading and shaping the strategic direction of the public health intelligence function, and in strengthening the strategic use of data to identify need, reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for local communities.
You will lead on the delivery of high-quality analytical work across a range of Public Health workstreams, whilst also driving the development of intelligence that informs policy, service design and population health improvement.
This role provides a unique opportunity for an individual who has significant experience in leading data analysis projects or currently working at senior analyst level, who can take a strategic leadership role in Public Health intelligence.
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience, reflecting strong numeracy skills ideally in public health, statistics, or a health related field.
You will demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development and hold UKPHR registration or willing to work towards UKPHR registration.

We are a small but ambitious Public Health Team that are not only supported within the council but by the wider East Berkshire Public Health system.

Key responsibilities...
Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specifications for the key responsibilities of this post. The broad requirements for a Public Health Advanced Practitioner (Health Intelligence) role will be:
- Strategic leadership in developing Public Health Intelligence across Bracknell Forest to ensure that the best available evidence-base is used to assess health outcomes, needs and inequalities for the local population.
- Leading and managing complex programmes of work that generate insight and knowledge, through the analysis and interpretation of data and intelligence, to inform decision making, implementation, delivery and evaluation of effective, evidence-based public health programmes across the local authority and wider health and care systems.
- Accountability for the appropriate access, storage and use of large and sensitive public health datasets, ensuring that information governance and data access agreements are in place and adhered to.

Salary range
- £48,955 - £54,189 per year
