    The Private Sector Housing Team is committed to regulating privately rented homes and driving up standards within Redbridge. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic employee to join our Property Licensing Support Team and help us achieve successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

    We are seeking a proactive and organised Property Licensing Support Officer to deliver high-quality support within our Property Licensing Team. This role is essential in ensuring landlords and tenants receive accurate advice, and that our licensing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Respond to enquiries from landlords and tenants regarding property licensing
    • Maintain accurate records and update case management systems promptly
    • Support enforcement activities through effective data management
    • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
    • Apply knowledge of housing hazards and offer practical advice to tenants
    • Ensure compliance with the Housing Health and Rating Scheme (HHSRS)

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Knowledge of housing hazards and HHSRS principles
    • Ability to work accurately and manage data effectively
    • Proficiency in IT systems, including case management databases and Microsoft applications
    • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to changing processes
    • Excellent auditing and record-keeping skills
    • Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
