About the role
We are looking for a Project Surveyor to join our Adaptations team, delivering essential works to Council homes, which will help residents live safely and independently.
You will manage a varied caseload of adaptation projects from initial survey through to completion, working closely with occupational therapists, contractors and residents. This is a key role where your technical expertise and project management skills will directly improve people’s quality of life.
In this post you will be managing adaptations projects across the Council’s housing stock from design to completion, conducting surveys, assessing feasibility of adaptation works and overseeing contractors to ensure works are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations and Building Safety requirements. You will provide clear technical advice to colleagues, partners and customers and maintain a strong focus on health and safety and customer experience.
About you
You must have worked within a surveying or project management role within housing or construction and have experience managing contractors and delivering projects from start to finish.
Working knowledge of building regulations, construction methods and health & safety requirements and a relevant qualification (or equivalent experience, with a willingness to work towards professional accreditation) is required for this post.
Effective communication skills, a customer-focused approach, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use, is essential.
