Main responsibilities:

• Contract type: Fixed-term (through to 11 November 2026, potential extension subject to review of Project Delivery Unit budget in spring 2026)
• Tendring District Council are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our Project Delivery Unit as a Projects Officer, providing essential support for a range of capital and regeneration projects. This role plays a key part in delivering improvements to the built environment and supporting initiatives that make a real difference to our communities.
• You will be a self-starter, able to work without direct supervision and seize the initiative and opportunities for maximising project benefits and outcomes, as they present themselves. You will be familiar working as part of a team to deliver major capital projects, comfortable working in a local authority environment, and able to balance your time and workload across multiple workstreams.
• You will hold a Level 4/5 Project Management qualification (equivalent experience also considered), a track record successfully delivering projects in complex, collaborative teams, and a consistent record of providing high quality outputs within a team and building success through effective and productive working relationships.
