Liverpool City Council is embarking on an exciting transformation portfolio of unprecedented breadth and scale. As a result, we’re expanding our Transformation Team and we're hiring a fixed-term Project Managers to work on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system replacement programme, until 30th September 2027.
The ERP system replacement programme will bring in a new Finance and HR system for the Council, and will improve new ways of working with a focus on eliminating manual processes, embracing self-service technology and supporting an agile workforce. The role will report to the Systems Programme Manager.
The Role:

You will scope and plan ERP projects that will deliver benefits to the Council, work closely with directorate leads in managing the delivery of activities for each phase of the programme, ensuring timescales are met, risks and issues are managed, and providing support with appropriate reporting.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about delivering change. Alongside the foundation of a project management qualification or equivalent experience, you’ll need to be able to clearly scope and plan projects and ensure projects are supported by the right governance. You need to be able to understand what makes a project worth doing and lead the project team around this shared vision. You’ll be able to manage the risks and issues affecting the project, as well as monitor the project finances and resources. You’ll need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the relevant stakeholders involved in the project. Having experience of working on ERP-replacement projects is a benefit but not essential.
This role is fixed term for the purpose of covering a secondment wihtin the service and will end 30th September 2027.

Salary range
- £46,142 - £51,356 per year
