We’re driving forward an ambitious programme of regeneration and development – delivering high-quality spaces for our residents, businesses, and staff and creating places that are built to last.

Our Commercial & Property team is at the heart of this transformation. And now, we’re looking for a Projects Delivery Assistant to help keep our projects on track and make a real difference to our district.

If you're highly organised, a confident communicator, and excited about helping deliver projects that matter – we want to hear from you.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As a Projects Delivery Assistant, you’ll support our busy Construction Project Managers with the day-to-day running of capital development projects – from tracking budgets and monitoring progress, to liaising with stakeholders and keeping key records up to date. You'll play a vital role in helping us deliver new homes, community buildings and improvements to the Council’s estate.

You’ll be based at our Council offices in Sevenoaks, with occasional travel to sites across the district – so no two days will be the same.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supporting the delivery of exciting regeneration and construction projects
  • Helping to manage budgets, raise purchase orders and process invoices
  • Keeping project records accurate, up-to-date and version-controlled
  • Liaising with contractors, consultants, colleagues and residents
  • Attending meetings, taking notes, and following up on actions
  • Assisting with procurement, contract management and public engagement
  • Responding to project enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
  • Recent experience in a project support or assistant role
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail, with confidence using Word and Excel
  • A flexible, team-focused approach with the ability to manage your own workload
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits

What’s in it for you

This is a real chance to shape the future of our places and spaces. You’ll gain hands-on experience, grow your confidence, and play a key role in supporting the delivery the buildings and environments that matter most to our district.

We are one of the few local government authorities to hold Platinum Investors in People, an accreditation which highlights our passion in supporting people, developing talent and working collaboratively and innovatively.

Other benefits include:

  • Enhanced annual leave of 24 days (excluding bank holidays)
  • Additional leave after 5 years of service
  • Extra Christmas closure day
  • Generous Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Free Parking
  • Employee benefits including discounts on shopping, travel days out and more, Tusker car salary sacrifice scheme and discounts with your MOT
  • Access to BUPA Employee Assistance Programme, a free, 24/7, confidential counselling and wellbeing support service
