Our Team:

We are seeking a Principal Regeneration Officer to play a leading role within our Business, Investment and Growth Team. This team is the first point of contact for investment opportunities in the borough - supporting local businesses, shaping regeneration priorities and driving the growth of Halton’s economy.

In this senior role, you will support the Regeneration & Business Growth Manager to deliver a wide range of regeneration, investment and business growth programmes. You will lead multi-disciplinary project teams, manage key capital schemes and provide specialist professional insight to ensure successful delivery of high-profile programmes.

This is a highly influential post, central to major initiatives such as the Mersey Gateway Regeneration Plan Plus, Sci-Tech Daresbury Innovation Zone, and Freeport-related projects.

Hours: 37 per week


Your Contributions:

You will:

  • Take a lead role in developing, coordinating and monitoring major capital development programmes
  • Manage high-profile regeneration and investment projects within the Council’s Capital Programme
  • Lead on programme budgeting and the financial management of internal and external resources
  • Coordinate public consultation activity and support partners in engaging with residents
  • Maintain strong working relationships with partners including the private sector, Combined Authority and other agencies
  • Work closely with the Programme Management Office on funding bids, planning applications and investment proposals
  • Provide specialist advice on regeneration and investment issues, including commercial funding, land remediation and industrial property
  • Prepare reports for Executive Board, Policy & Performance Boards, Steering Groups and Joint Venture Boards
  • Represent senior leaders where required and support the delivery of strategic aims across the department
