Permanent -37 hours per week
£45,091 - £49,828 per annum (pay award pending)
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Principal Planning Officer to join the Development Planning Team helping to deliver some of the most exciting and significant development projects within South Worcestershire. This is a key new role within the Development Planning team.Focusing on the Council’s Strategic Sites the postholder will take a lead role in the delivery of complex planning projects, including the preparation of reports and technical documents.The postholder must have experience in stakeholder engagement and consultation and the ability to monitor progress to ensure the timely and effective delivery of major developments and key projects.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A planning related degree or equivalent
- Substantial planning experience and understanding of the delivery of strategic sites.
- Experience of project management and leadership
- Good working knowledge of Windows based and related computer systems and their applications
- Good research and analytical skills; and
- A strong customer service orientation.
