The post will be based within the Strategic Housing team which is responsible for homelessness, allocations, housing assistance, affordable warmth, affordable homes development and housing intelligence.

You will be responsible for developing housing strategy and policy as well as supporting the operational housing functions which include housing allocation, homelessness and housing renewal.

You will have:

  • experience of working as part of a team and a track record of working independently to achieve service objectives within agreed timescales.
  • a commitment to developing their knowledge and experience to enable them to effectively meet service objectives.
  • Educated to degree level and/or an equivalent qualification in housing, or demonstrate suitable professional experience.

At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. There is a requirement for you to attend your work base at least two day’s per week but this may be more subject to work priorities.
