The Governors, Headteacher, staff and pupils of Linacre Primary are seeking to appoint a motivated, energetic and skilled Premises Manager (Caretaker) to join our happy and friendly team. We are a small one-form primary school situated in Bootle and we are seeking someone who will be committed to providing a safe, secure, clean, tidy and well-maintained environment for our children and staff. This is a very important and valued role.
Previous experience within a school is not essential, but please identify suitability for the post within the written application.
The position is permanent (Grade D, SCP 5-6), salary £24,484 - £24,888 which will be worked as 36 hours per week over a 52 week contract. Annual leave is 27 days per year under 5 year's service, increasing to 32 days per year after 5 year's, and during school holidays unless agreed in advance.

We are looking for someone who:
- Will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management, safety, cleanliness and security of the school site
- Has the health, safety and well-being of the school as a priority
- Will be prepared to undertake any health and safety training as required
- Has a good level and range of DIY skills
- Is prepared to make a valuable contribution to our school
- Has the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Is able to relate well to children and families
- Is physically fit and able to move furniture and resources around the building as well as use ladders and take in deliveries.
This post can include a 3 bedroom property for the postholder to reside in onsite on a reduced rent
This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period
