About the role
The CWD Practice Supervisor role is a specialist, diverse, rewarding and creative role where you will lead, guide and supervise a small team of social workers, providing reflective supervision, support and professional challenge. You will play a key part in supporting staff development, maintaining high standards of practice and helping your team deliver meaningful, child-centred work. As a leader, you will bring a restorative and relationship-based approach, supported by strong communication skills, emotional intelligence and the confidence to manage challenge and lead change in a positive and constructive way.
About the team
Our team is passionate about ensuring that all disabled children are valued, heard and supported to thrive. We are a County wide team, with this role being based in our modern Sleaford offices. We work long term with children and young people with severe and profound disabilities across a range of areas, including Children in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care. We also undertake work under the Mental Capacity Act, including Deprivation of Liberty. We are a busy but supportive and well-established team, known for our strong multi-agency relationships with partners such as special schools, continuing healthcare, CAMHS, community nursing teams, SEND colleagues and our dedicated Occupational Therapy service.
