Pollution Control Officer
We are seeking a Pollution Control Officer (Environmental Permitting) to join our busy Pollution Team. The main duties are to take a lead role implementing the Council’s duties under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010, provide expert advice to the Council’s Planning and Transportation Department on air quality and undertake projects as part of the Council’s Air Quality Action Plan.
You should be driven by the desire to provide exceptional customer service and have a good understanding of the principles and management of air pollution. Have excellent knowledge of UK and EU policy, legislation and guidance covering air quality and environmental permitting and have a working knowledge of the UK planning system
You will need a full driving license and provide a car for work or have the use of the Council’s zip car
