Creswell Infant and Nursery School is a nurturing and inclusive school located in the heart of an ex-mining community near Bolsover. We currently welcome 192 pupils from Foundation Stage 2 to Year 2, along with a 48-place nursery offering 15-hour provision. Guided by our Christian vision - ‘Together with God, we shine in all we do’ - we are a dedicated team with the ambition of championing every child, where each is celebrated, nurtured, and given the opportunity to shine.

The Headteacher and Governors would like to recruit a Play Leader, for our Breakfast Club. This is an exciting opportunity to join our current team.

The successful candidate will join us as soon as possible and no later than the April term, you will work each school day, after school. Hours to be confirmed but expected to be 7.30am to 8.50am.

Whilst this is a fixed term contract for 12 months, we do hope to extend.

About the role:-

As the Breakfast Club Play Leader, you will lead, develop and deliver the day to day operation of the club. Working with others to deliver activities, which are interesting, fun and appropriate for the age group. You will work alongside the afterschool club leader to ensure a consistent approach.

You will supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing. You will serve a healthy breakfast to the children attending.You will build strong relationships with our parents and the teaching team. You will build relationships and work together with other professionals in school for example our SEND and safeguarding/welfare team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 3 years experience working with children in a play or educational setting.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • A relevant childcare qualification level 3 or above.
  • A food hygiene and paediatric first aid certificate, or willing to complete.
