PLANNING OFFICER (ENFORCEMENT)

Salary: Grade F £34,434 to £38,220 per year (pro-rata for part-time working) (pay award pending)

Hours: Up to 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Team Location: Long Eaton Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, NG10 1HU

Hybrid working is available.

About the Role

Be on the front line of planning enforcement in Erewash. Use your planning knowledge to assess planning enforcement complaints. Identify those cases that are causing public harm and follow through with the full suite of planning enforcement tools to protect public amenity and the integrity of the planning system.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A local government professional, committed to high standards of integrity and probity.
  • A planning practitioner, with experience of making planning judgements.

You will need to have detailed knowledge of current planning legislation and preferably hold a Diploma or Degree in Town Planning (or relevant equivalent).
