The job

An opportunity has arisen in the HR team within Corporate Services for a People & OD Assistant. The successful applicant will be a part of the HR team, supporting the whole council. You will get involved in the administration for all core HR activities and processes.

The applicant

We are looking for an applicant who:

  • Has experience working in a busy admin role, ideally in local government.
  • Has good understanding of HR and payroll processes.
  • Can demonstrate ability to maintain up to date HR records.
  • Shows a proactive approach to supporting efficient HR operations.
  • Has a basic understanding of employment legislation.
  • Has or is working towards a CIPD qualification (desirable not essential).

Your role will be varied including; 

  • Providing admin support for all elements of our people processes. 
  • Getting involved in:
  • Recruitment and selection. 
  • Pre-employment checks
  • Learning, development and training
  • Wellbeing 
  • Using our payroll system for checking and inputting data.
  • Policy maintenance.

Interviews are scheduled to be held on site at Hart District Council Offices.
