    This is an exciting time for the London Borough of Redbridge; we are at the heart of regeneration and change in East London, with unprecedented investment in the area expected in the next few years and Cross Rail will open up new opportunities for new homes and jobs. We benefit from excellent transport links across London and Essex and our offices, based in Ilford, are only 9 minutes from Stratford and 18 minutes from Liverpool Street, in the heart of the city.

    As part of the on-going strengthening of our pensions administration team, we are excited to offer the new-created post of Technical Officer. The successful applicant will be forward thinking, pro-active in bringing innovative ideas to the team. You will also be responsible for updating the pensions system (Altair) with system enhancements, regulatory changes as well as running data extracts, HMRC returns and monthly payroll interfaces. You will also have solid experience in administering the LGPS, fully conversant with the various sets of regulations and passionate about working with the pensions team to deliver a high-quality service for scheme members.

    This role also involves liaising with employers and schools with regards to onboarding them on interfaces Including i-Connect) where currently not in place. To be responsible for maintaining the pension system to ensure the integrity, development, accuracy and usability of the system and other associated computerised and on-line systems as may be in use, providing the assurance that they can assist in the accurate, efficient and effective administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
