    The Post
    The key area of responsibility for this position will be to lead on running the Council’s monthly payroll service, ensuring that each stage of the payroll process is completed.

    The responsibilities within this role will be managing compliance checks to ensure all payroll processes are accurate and timely, and appropriate information are provided to our pension schemes, HMRC and other statutory bodies.

    The expectation for this post will be to act as the Council’s specialist in payroll data analysis across Oracle HCM payroll systems, and to form part of the technical design of all payroll processes and systems to ensure value for money.

    The Person

    Brent Council are looking for proactive payroll specialists with integrity and confidence to support their application of Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll configuration skills.

    Applicants need to demonstrate trustworthiness and professionalism - and combine these personality traits with managing compliance around the local government payroll run and processes.

    Knowledge of Local Government payroll legislation application and numerical and analytical thinking skills should be evidenced by the applicant.

    Motivated individual applicants need to perform calm under pressure, especially during payroll deadlines, and show commitment to accuracy and compliance excellence.
