    What You’ll Be Doing
    The People and Operations Team is the first point of contact for Camden employees, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team.

    In this role, you’ll deliver a high-quality payroll service to current and former staff, as well as line managers, ensuring compliance with Camden’s policies and statutory requirements. You’ll be responsible for a range of payroll activities, including the manual calculation of Income Tax, National Insurance contributions, and statutory payments and deductions such as SSP, SMP, and student loans. Accuracy and a strong grasp of payroll legislation are essential.

    You’ll also provide guidance on Camden’s HR policies, sickness procedures, employee benefits, and performance schemes. Working closely with other payroll Analyst and key stakeholders, you’ll help ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and resolve payroll-related queries with professionalism and care.

    All About you
    To be successful in this role, you must have working knowledge of payroll and an understanding of Statutory and legislative payroll guidelines.

    We’re looking for someone with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude who takes ownership of their work and contributes positively to the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Payroll experience looking to deepen their expertise in payroll and grow within a dynamic HR environment.

    You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build and maintain rapport with internal and external specialists to keep ahead of emerging HR specialist trends, changes, ideas and innovations.

    Interview Process
    Two stage interview process.

    If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to an initial interview that will last approx. 1-hour and 45-minutes and will consist of an assessment that will include 3 questions - Sickness, Gross to Net Calculations and Annual leave.
