We are recruiting a Payments Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 30-06-2026
Location: Ty Penallta/ Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

Team: Corporate Finance

We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 - £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support the accurate and timely processing of payments for the provision of social care.

This vital role ensures that essential services are paid within agreed payment deadlines so the successful candidate must be able to work under pressure. You will be working closely with both internal Teams and external providers so must have excellent communication skills.

Good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications, are required, along with the ability to think analytically to identify and resolve payment discrepancies.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Level 2 qualification/s on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • The ability to think analytically and complete work tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Commitment to achieving and maintaining high standards.
  • The ability to travel around the borough and beyond.
